Wine Delivery

Wine delivery has been very beneficial over the past year because one of the gifts of COVID has been more time at home, less airplane and commuting time and more stability in our nests. With nine months under our belt, though, we’re all looking for ways to create special occasions at home. Wine delivery is one of those avenues that can take us on a mini-vacation as we explore regions, varietals, and vintages which are outside of our “here and now”.

Wine Delivery Benefits

  • Wine Selection- Relying on a grocery store’s selection can be limited for two reasons. First, wineries typically only release their highest volume wines into distribution, which means many of their most limited quantity and best wines may be saved for those that buy from them directly. Second, when you buy from a grocery store, wines that make their way to you have typically been screened by the distributor that carries the wines, a national or regional buyer for the grocery chain that selects which wines will be on the list, and individual store buyers. Your selection is much greater for a particular category, say Willamette Valley Pinot Noir if you order from wineries from that region directly. Peruse Willamette Valley Wineries Association Giving Season specials offered by independent wineries from that region or Wine Spectator to research regions.

  • Safe Contactless Wine Delivery- Many of us are avoiding going into stores altogether. Wine is usually delivered safely to your doorstep with contactless delivery. Typically, your order will be confirmed with an email and delivery confirmed via text or email.

  • Support Local Businesses through Wine Delivery- Wineries were closed for much of the spring and many are now closed down again during what is usually the busiest time of the year. You can be assured that your wine budget is supporting small family-owned businesses most directly when you buy directly, rather than giving a portion to the distributors and stores.

  • Complimentary Wine Delivery- Here at Et Fille Wines, we offer free next day home wine delivery in the Greater Portland area when you buy three bottles or more. Just shop online at www.etfillewines.com and we will deliver it to your doorstep.
