This wine has a bold richness to its black fruit profile. Deux Vert Vineyard, owned by Mike and Patty Green (get it- “Two Greens?”), is where this Pinot Noir and our Viognier comes from in the Yamhill-Carlton viticultural area. The low-yielding Pommard, Wadenswil, and 113 clones from this vineyard are located in a warm block at about 300-390’ elevation. Recent vintages received a Double Gold Best of Show Medal at the Oregon Wine Awards, Gold at the Cascadia Wine Competition and the prior vintage was rated a 92 by Vinous.

Dad: Big nose of briary berries, cherries, and high toned flowers with dark brooding chocolate flavors and huge tannins.

Fille: The 2013 Deux Vert has boldness, assertiveness, power, and depth to it. If it were a painting, it would be a Jackson Pollock- bold and attention grabbing, but you notice the complexity and layers as you spend more time with it. The nose has accents of orange blossom and jasmine, with a dark blackberry and cocoa flavor. Its richness pairs beautifully with lamb accented by spice and herbs.
