Et Fille 2013 Palmer Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir
We have produced single vineyard Pinot Noir from the lovely Palmer Creek Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon since our first year. Palmer Creek is meticulously tended by owners Janet and Larry Richards. The vineyard is LIVE certified, which affirms the Richards’ commitment to be environmentally aware and sustainable in their viticulture practices. This wine was awarded a Silver Medal at the Cascadia Wine Awards and the prior vintage received a 91 by Vinous and a 90 from Burghound.
Dad: Cherry and candied fruit aromas. Red and black berries on the palate carry into the finish, along with a hint of white pepper.
Fille: This year’s Palmer Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir has a lovely candied cherry nose and a luxurious and opulent texture. It reminds me of singer John Legend- smooth, silky, soulful, and possessing depth. Its cherry and tobacco flavors, balanced acidity, and complexity, pairs nicely with grilled salmon.
